💥 A new study is now available 👉 ‘The Availability of Sports Betting Products: An economic and Integrity Analysis’. Prepared by H2 Gambling Capital, the study focuses on how the availability of certain betting products, such as in-play, side markets and prop betting, which are becoming more and more popular ⬆ , impacts on consumer protection, sports integrity, market oversight and tax revenues, if this demand is not met through licensed onshore betting operators. The purpose of the study is to provide policymakers with a data-driven evidence base upon which they can make more informed judgements about how best to respond to growing consumer demand for these betting products. It looks at 12 jurisdictions from across the globe and which apply a wide variety of regulatory approaches. BUSTING THE MYTHS (Part 1) 💥 FACT or MYTH? 👉 Restricting betting on side markets (cards and corners) prevents match-fixing in football 👉 MYTH! FACTS 👉 A study on the availability of betting products published this week shows there is no evidence for a higher integrity risk for side markets! As there is such high consumer demand for football betting products (over 56% of gross win globally), restricing these kind of products will only drive consumers towards the unregulated market, where there are no controls and higher risks of fraud. The study demonstrates clear benefits for jurisdictions that allow onshore licensed operators to offer side markets: · More consumer protection and greater market oversight · More bets means more tax revenue, for example: The Netherlands would experience a $118m uplift in tax revenue over the next five years if it liberalised access to football side markets (e.g. cards and corners). iGaming licenses in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 This framework is all you need to know. The basics: - Duration: 5 years; it can't be passed on for the first 3 years. - Cost: US$346,000 for casinos, US$260,000 for sports betting, and US$170,000 for others, like fantasy sports. - Tax: likely the same as the 29% rate for land casinos. Apart from the license, operators need to adopt responsible gaming. This means setting up quitting options, limiting bets and playtime, and reminding players to bet wisely. There's more to consider; the requirements don't end here. Discover more below and share your thoughts on the new regulations. #fsm #digitalmarketing #advertising #sports #sportsmarketing #sportsbetting #sportsbook
