🌞 Highlights from the International Solar Festival Curtain Raiser Event 🚀 We organized a curtain-raiser programme to introduce the International Solar Festival to be held on September 5 & 6. Our discussion, on the theme of, 'Building a Solar Future Together,' brought together a diverse group of clean energy experts to exchange insights. Here are some key takeaways from the panelists: 🔹Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, International Solar Alliance: “The future of solar energy depends on young innovators, backed by supportive Government policies, engagement with private sector, and driven by women entrepreneurs. Together, we push for affordability and community support, empowering women entrepreneurs through initiatives like ISA’s Solar for She” 🔹Bhupinder Bhalla, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE): "ISA's pioneering frameworks and private sector collaboration are pivotal in bringing energy to underserved regions. With a commitment to sustainable development, ISA drives India's global leadership, addressing challenges through partnerships and innovative economic diplomacy. Gender equity and innovative financing are critical for the solar sector's success.” 🔹 Saina Nehwal, Former World No. 1 Badminton Player, Olympian and the First Indian to Win a Badminton Olympic Medal: “There is a need to encourage youth and athletes to join solar technology conversations to promote wider adoption of solar panels and harnessing social media to educate communities about solar energy." 🔹 Arushi Sana, Official Youth Ambassador, COP28 UAE: “Gen Z needs action-oriented solar education. The 4P policy (Promote, Provide, Partner, Protect) is necessary to engage youth in sustainable development.” Join us at the International Solar Festival, to explore more on solar energy's transformative impact.
