📅The Tenth meeting of the Standing Committee of the ISA Assembly was held in New Delhi on 18 July. The Standing Committee, comprising the President, Co-President, and Regional Vice-Presidents, deliberates on Regional Committee recommendations, promoting informed decision-making. Chaired by Mr Pralhad Joshi, Hon'ble President of the ISA Assembly and Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy & Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, GoI, and co-chaired by H.E. Dr Thierry Mathou, the Ambassador of France to India. 🌐 Representatives from various nations, including Denmark, Sweden, Venezuela, Tuvalu, Mali, Somalia, and Bangladesh were actively engaged in the discussions. 🗂️ Agenda Highlights: 🌞ISA Demonstration Projects: ISA Demonstration Projects highlight successful solar energy projects across member countries of the ISA. These projects serve as practical examples, showcasing the benefits and feasibility of solar energy solutions. Examples include solar-powered water pumps in rural areas, large-scale solar farms, and community-based solar installations. 🌟ISA Solar Technology Application Resource Centre (STAR-C): The ISA Solar Technology Application Resource Centre (STAR-C) is a dedicated facility aimed at advancing solar technology applications and fostering innovation. STAR-C provides resources, training, and support to member countries in deploying solar technologies. Recently, ISA has operationalised five STAR Centres in Ethiopia , Bangladesh, Kiribati, Somalia and Cuba. 💡ISA Global Solar Facility: The ISA Global Solar Facility is designed to secure investments in solar energy projects especially in developing countries. This initiative aims to attract funding from various sources, including governments, private sector investors, and international financial institutions. 🗓️Preparations for Future Meetings: Preparations for future meetings involve detailed planning and strategizing to ensure effective discussions and decision-making. The Eleventh ISA Standing Committee meeting and the sixth session of the ISA Assembly are key events where representatives from member countries come together to discuss policies, progress, and future plans. 🌿 🌟 The meeting reinforced ISA's role in driving the global energy transition through innovative initiatives and collaborative projects. 🌞

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is teaming up with the Bhutanese government to supercharge solar initiatives in the country. Together, they're set to revolutionize energy access and bolster security through solar interventions and diversification of Bhutan's energy mix. Led by ISA's Director-General, Dr. Ajay Mathur, a high-level delegation is currently in Bhutan to solidify these efforts. The visit marks the signing of a pivotal Country Partnership Agreement (CPA) between Bhutan and ISA, paving the way for collaborative action.
