Hi everyone 👋 Everyday we wake up as students and go to University to learn something new about our field. But not, learn something about your personality. Absolutely your goal should be to learn something on every moment. About yesterday there was a Seminar "Crafting your undergraduate career vision" Organized by Mechatronics Society Of Robotics And Automation. Speaker was Raza Mehdi 🇵🇰 technical training manager at The Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO). From where I have earned some quality things from his profasional career. He tells us the value of industrial exposure, internships and punctuality for a professional Life. And what are the things which industries are expecting from the fresh graduate students. #industrytrends #Jobs #Internships #skills #Graduates #leanstartups

My Backend SWE internship at Tesla did not feel like an internship. I had an amazing taste of what good software engineering is all about. It felt so good to work in a tight-knit team of some of the most smartest folks in engineering imo! Trust me when I say, the velocity at which the team operated was initially overwhelming. As a newbie I felt curious and enthusiastic, but at the same time I was taken aback by the sheer amount of engineering brilliance delievered by the team. My mentor/manager gave me a piece of advice which is my biggest takeaway from my internship. "Be curious and learn a lot of things, but carve your niche for being an expert in a few". Simply put be a T-Shaped/Comb-Shaped Engineer (Here is an explanation I liked [https://lnkd.in/dhjr9AwZ] for the uninitiated). This greatly shaped my thought process as an engineer through the rest of my internship, and be mindful of the big picture contributions I made as an intern. I gave a shot at becoming a T-engineer and went super deep with graph databases (neo4j is super cool!!). With this, I was able to better channelize my imposter-syndrome to identify what interested me and expand my horizon to satiate my learning appetite. In essence, I think that's what true Software Engineering is about - learning and building. And this internship helped me do precisely that - learn and build. I am grateful and I consider myself lucky to have had this opportunity. In a way, I got a great glimpse of what life as a Software engineer would be, while being an intern. So, my internship didn't feel like an internship. It felt like a prelude to where I am headed on my journey.

🌟 The Vital Role of Internships in an Engineer's Journey!🌟 Hello, LinkedIn Family! I'm Ritesh Mhetre, currently pursuing Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and I want to share some thoughts on the importance of internships for engineering students, especially those in the field of electronics. Internships are a game-changer for students like us, providing a bridge between classroom learning and real-world experience. Here’s why I believe internships are crucial: 1. Gaining Practical Experience: Internships allow us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. This hands-on experience is invaluable in electronics engineering, where understanding practical applications is key to mastering the subject. 2. Learning from Industry Experts: A good internship provides the opportunity to work alongside industry experts. This exposure not only enhances our technical skills but also gives us insights into the industry's best practices, which is something we can't learn from textbooks alone. 3. Building Confidence and Knowledge: Engaging in meaningful work during an internship boosts our confidence. It allows us to understand the industry's dynamics, learn how to work in teams, and develop problem-solving skills—all essential qualities for a successful engineering career. 4. Financial Independence: Internships often come with a stipend, which can provide some financial independence during our student life. It’s a great way to earn while learning! 5. Adapting to Technological Advancements: With the rise of AI and automation, many low-level jobs are being phased out. This shift means we need to upskill continuously and adapt to new technologies. Internships can help us stay ahead of the curve by exposing us to cutting-edge advancements and fostering a mindset of continuous learning. However, it’s important to note that securing internships can be challenging, especially for students from Tier 3 colleges. Many students lack awareness of how to find and apply for internships, which can limit their opportunities. It's essential to be proactive, network effectively, and stay informed about various platforms and opportunities available. To all my fellow engineering students, especially those in electronics: Don’t underestimate the value of internships. They are a stepping stone to a successful career, and every bit of experience counts! Let’s make the most of these opportunities, learn as much as we can, and prepare ourselves to excel in our careers. #ElectronicsEngineering #EngineeringStudents #Internships #CareerGrowth #LearningAndDevelopment #AI #Automation #TechIndustry #SkillDevelopment #FutureEngineers
