The Genetic Research Cycle is at the core of advancements in genomic medicine. By connecting patients and families to scientific discoveries, we describe phenotypes, identify the genes responsible, and translate this knowledge into effective diagnostics, management, and therapy. This ongoing cycle not only helps us understand the mechanisms behind genetic diseases but also enables us to offer personalized care to improve patient outcomes. Each phase of the cycle—from identifying underlying genes to characterizing their impact—brings us closer to precision medicine, where treatments are tailored to individual genetic profiles. This is the future of healthcare, and it's unfolding today. #GenomicMedicine #GeneticResearch #PrecisionMedicine #ClinicalGenetics #HumanGenetics #ClinicalGenomics #PersonalizedCare #ResearchAndDevelopment #MedicalGenetics

Ephemeral Genes: Bacteria Rewrite Genetic Rules with Free-Floating DNA! #Mysummary The recent discovery by researchers from the Columbia University found that bacteria can create free-floating, transient genes outside of their chromosomal DNA, defying the traditional view that all genetic instructions are encoded within chromosomes. The key findings center around a bacterial defense mechanism involving an RNA molecule and a reverse transcriptase enzyme. This reverse transcriptase synthesizes DNA from RNA templates, creating ephemeral DNA sequences that function as fully operational genes. One such gene, named Neo, is part of the bacteria's antiviral response, preventing viral replication and protecting neighboring cells during an infection. #Mythoughts Now imagine if similar extrachromosomal genes are discovered in humans, it could lead to a complete rethinking of genetic regulation and coding, especially in contexts where genes may not be present in the genome itself but are instead transiently produced in response to specific conditions. HAPPY to hear your THOUGHTS and Stay POSITIVE! #Myinspiration "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence." Understanding the Role of DNA Testing in Personalized Medicine. What is Personalized Medicine? Personalized medicine is the science that uses genetic profiles to determine if a specific person can benefit from a medical approach that will pro-actively determine prevention & treatment of conditions. What is a Gene ? Your gene is an amazing part of your DNA profile. It is a basic part of all individual’s DNA profile and is similar in almost all people. However, there are part of the genetic make-up that have genes that vary from person to person. This is what makes a person unique. How does the genetic DNA influence your health? Your genetic variations will influence your DNA changes. In certain rare situations, the variation of your genetic DNA can cause a medical condition. Some examples of these conditions are sickle cell anemia, Tay-Sachs and even a pre-disposition to cancer. If there is a family history of these genetic conditions, It is recommended that an individual should consult and test for the possibility of these genetic variations impacting them. 😎 Wow~ Our customers published a paper in Cell Discovery~ 🎉 👨🔬 👩🔬 Chemically induced dimerization (CID) is currently a widely used dimerization system that directly regulates protein function. However, CID systems still have many limitations. So how to overcome these limitations? 🧐 🤩 This study constructed integrated compact regulators of protein activity (iCROP), which can control signaling pathways and genome editing in vivo. The results provide powerful new tools for regulating or editing endogenous genes. 👏 👏 ✔ https://lnkd.in/gswxbj3Y ✔ For more push, please follow #Twitter: https://lnkd.in/gntQ9qE7 ✔ Related Product Recommendation: #Asunaprevir (#BMS650032; https://lnkd.in/ghtJvzDs); #Rupintrivirvr (#AG7088; https://lnkd.in/gtx-XaTs); #Streptomycin (#Agrept; #Agrimycin; #StreptomycinA; https://lnkd.in/gs3m66Su); #Lopinavir (#ABT378; https://lnkd.in/g7kPU_wm); #Lipopolysaccharides (#LPS; https://lnkd.in/gCtd8NnF); #D-Luciferin (#D-(-)-Luciferin; #FireflyLuciferin; #BeetleLuciferin; https://lnkd.in/gC6QkE7B); #CellDiscov #iCROP #CID #GeneEditing #MCE #MedChemExpress
