Sustainability isn't just a buzzword – it's a core part of our commitment to being a university for public good. On Earth Day, we’re reflecting on what we’ve done so far. Here are a few things we're doing to make a difference: ☕ Over 1.5 million single-use cups saved so far through our YORCUP scheme 🌞 219,000kWh / year solar energy generated by 320 solar panels installed across our campus 🚲 York has been voted one of the most bike-friendly cities in England 💚 Green Flag campus, the national standard for public parks and green spaces 🌳 3,130 trees planted on campus grounds last academic year 📊 We no longer have investments in the fossil fuel industry 🦔 We’re a hedgehog-friendly campus, awarded Platinum status for being a safe place for hedgehogs to thrive Join us in making a difference! Multilayered Stratification: The roof features a highly engineered system with layers tailored to support heavy loads while remaining water-permeable. High Load Resistance: The structural layers were carefully selected to ensure long-term durability under intensive use.
