Are you attending #ICRA2024? Check out our recent work on 'Containerized Vertical Farming using Cobots' accepted for presentation. Our proposed system uses a robotic manipulator to automate the transplanting and harvesting tasks inside a vertical farm, using kinesthetic demonstrations provided by a farmer. Key Highlights: 1) A perception system which leverages Segment Anything by Meta to compute a pose estimate of a slot for transplanting and harvesting. 2) The screw-geometric structure of motion is used to represent the task constraints extracted from a kinesthetic demonstration. These constraints are coordinate invariant and can be used to generate motion plans for a new task instance.
