I try and look on advice/suggestions this way; why experience the pain or frustration of doing something wrong, when someone can “ADVISE” me as to the best, quickest, and easiest way to do it. I am all for taking advantage of those who have done it before and I am happy to go to school on them. Following “good advice” is a great way to shorten your learning curve.   The advice you get might not be easy … good advice seldom is. But for you BOSSES out there … PLEASE listen to the suggestions from your employees on the front line. Because if you don’t, the good ones will leave. I’ll leave you with the wise words from Harper Lee: “Many receive advice, the wise profit from it.”
