Albeit with many challenges, this approach seems highly promising.
Can you access the entire central nervous system simultaneously including spinal cord and deep brain structures in a minimally invasive way? Presenting endocisternal interfaces (ECI's), a new and alternative neural interface through the CSF space! Incredibly grateful for my collaborators/co-authors which have really elevated the work. This wraps up my time at Rice and keep an eye out for what's comin next ;) I'm also extra proud of every single hand-drawn figure in this paper (biorender who??) link to paper: https://lnkd.in/gvK5xUJ7 Thanks to Peter Kan and Jacob Robinson for being incredible mentors and colleagues.

🙄 It's sad that I feel the need to go out of my way to congratulate an organization for truly putting patients first. However, the reality is that many so-called "𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝" organizations fail to include #patients in the conversation. Great work, BridgeBio, for incorporating perspectives and feedback that genuinely matters! 𝘈𝘯 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵-𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥. #Healthcare #PatientCenteredCare #BridgeBio #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareInnovation #PatientInsights #LGMD
Putting patients first is a value that BridgeBio practices daily. Part of that is hearing from the people impacted by the conditions we seek to serve. We were fortunate to host and hear from a group of young people living with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD), an inherited condition that causes progressive muscle deterioration. It was an incredible opportunity to gain insight from their perspective of how living with LGMD affects their lives. Through these learnings, we can better understand the unmet needs of people with this condition. We are truly grateful for their time and willingness to share their personal stories!

Invamar (me) was born from a mission: generating the most extreme innovations, in the most extreme environments, and with the most extraordinary ways to build technology that is positive, humanistic, and inclusive. This journey began with a simple yet profound question: How can technology make our lives healthier, safer, and more connected? What We Have Achieved This Year: 🚗 Driver Safety: Fabenode® has become a game-changer in monitoring driver health, ensuring safer journeys for countless individuals. The first-ever intelligent textile that can check a driver's drowsiness. 🌌 Extreme Tests: Our technology is tested under the most extreme conditions in the world (yes, we are serious about this) to keep our innovation promise. 👾 Democratizing Communication: MeSenseU® has expanded its R&D for psychiatry and psychophysiology, which has led us to build a communication bridge for non-verbal communities with an intelligent textile interface. Counting down for it! :) Looking Ahead 🚀 As we step into another year, our mission remains clear: to continue empowering lives through extreme technologies. We're excited to add one more brick to our vision of democratizing technology, making our innovations even more user-centric and impactful. I am super proud to share that we (Stockholms Kvinnohistoriska) have now launched Pain Unseen – a digital exhibition on endometriosis weaving together art, research, and personal stories, that I have worked on during the past year. Endometriosis affects 10% of all individuals with a uterus, but it often remains invisible. Despite its prevalence, it takes an average of 5–7 years for a person with endometriosis to receive a diagnosis. Pain Unseen aims to break this silence by raising awareness and deepening knowledge about endometriosis through perspectives from researchers, artists, and individuals living with the condition. The exhibition is part of the European project #ENDOs, funded by the Erasmus+ Education and Training programme. Together with partners from Sweden, France, Italy, Finland, and Ireland, the project explores how art, narrative medicine, and digital tools can be used to raise awareness of endometriosis and equip the public, patients, and healthcare providers with tools to better understand the condition. Explore the exhibition at https://lnkd.in/dnMA2py4 - and accept our invitation to learn more about a condition that impacts countless people globally. Thank you to all of our partners, and to Linda Hinners, Sebastian Gidlöf, Barnendometriosfonden, Felicia Cederbladh, Ina Hallström, Ida Melander, Korento ry, EndoGyn - Improving female healthcare, Nicky Hudson, Renita Sörensdotter and to all participating researchers, endos and artists for contributing to the exhibition and the project.

#SecondBirthDate The giant player “Sun Pharma” published their advertisement on the front page of a local daily on the occasion of “Doctor’s Day." They published it with the #SecondBirthDate. They smartly narrated the story of one massive heart problem's survival. It was her rebirth when she came out of the challenging health ailment with the giant support and help of the “Sun Pharma” team. While reading the contents of that advertisement, I felt something different. Since my kids started understanding the tiny details of living beings, society, and other things, they have very excitedly told me, “Mom, our birthday is actually your birthday too. How nice na, you can enjoy and celebrate your birthday twice a year." Wow, touched really. At such a tender age, they understood the importance of #SecondBirthDate of every mom on this earth, those who became mom once, twice, or many times. Salutes to all the respected mothers. It so happened that on my floor in our society, fortunately, there is one more family, neighbours for many years, who supports this #. The mother, who is my bestie, once said, “Why do only kids get gifts on their birthdays? Mom should get one too, right? If no one thinks like that, then we should buy gifts for ourselves and pat our backs too." Boom, since then, it has added to the concepts that my kids started at home. Why only celebrate your second birth date after surviving major health aliments? Giving birth is definitely a second birth for all girls. The same concept is narrated in many holy scriptures by giant spiritual gurus; actually, they were God’s own incarnation. Many or countless researchers have also proved it through their work, but society seems to keep mum about this major fact of life. They know; they are aware but feel scared to accept; why don't I know? This is the case with all, including partners, in-laws, and people from all walks of life. It is great to see that things are not the same anymore, and with huge awareness, change is visible. Anyway, there is no point in talking about it now, as many in the next generation prefer to adopt pets or kids instead of having their own biological once. They prefer to stay with such adopted entities all alone. Great decision, indeed. Requesting Sunpharma Prohance to kindly come up with such a conceptual advertisement too, next time, as mothers give birth to kids, either one, twins, triplets, or more, only by totally believing the medical professionals. Any city, state, country, or world is running smoothly as they have human beings in their workforce, delivered by mothers from all over the world. https://lnkd.in/gn997vqD

At SpectronRx, we reflect deeply on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and the vision he championed—a vision of equity and justice for all. His words, "Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in healthcare is the most shocking and inhumane," still resonate profoundly as we continue the fight for equitable access to care. Our mission is clear. By collaborating with some of today's most brilliant scientific minds, we are driving forward advancements in radiopharmaceuticals that have the power to change and save lives. Yet, we know true progress isn't just about scientific breakthroughs—it's about ensuring these life-changing treatments are accessible to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status. At SpectronRx, we believe a future without healthcare inequality is possible. We are committed to creating a world where groundbreaking innovations in medicine don't just exist but truly reach all who need them. Together, as advocates for change, we step forward with optimism and determination—because healthcare equity is not just an ideal to strive for; it's a moral imperative. #HealthcareForAll #Radiopharmaceuticals #NuclearMedicine #SpectronRx #MLKDay2025

2024 has been an incredible journey for us! We kicked off the year at IMSH in San Diego, navigating not just the event but also the biblical floods that greeted us. From there, we had the pleasure of gathering the 3B Scientific teams from around the world for our global kickoff event—a fantastic way to align and energize for the year ahead. One of our proudest moments has been the launch of new child health simulation products, including: • A young girl with Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis • An Asian toddler • An Afro-American toddler These innovations debuted at events like ASPiH Simulation and reflect our commitment to diversity and authenticity in simulation. We also introduced “Sherif,” our new adult male simulator, who is now en route to IMSH 2025 for his big debut! This year, we’ve welcomed numerous visitors to our Lifecast Body Simulation Ltd base in Elstree. Each visit has been a pleasure, and we’re grateful for the enthusiasm and support we’ve received throughout 2024. Thank you to everyone who has joined us on this journey—here’s to even greater ventures and adventures in 2025! Helium (He) is typically used as a coolant for the superconducting magnets in MRI machines because of its extremely low boiling point (around -269°C or -452.2°F). However, it is a non-renewable resource, and its scarcity leads to increased costs and supply chain vulnerabilities. Additionally, #helium management in #mri machines involves complex infrastructure and maintenance. Philips BlueSeal magnet is industry-leading solution to Helium-Free MRI Technology and represents a significant advancement in medical imaging. It eliminates the dependence on helium, reducing operational costs and the need for frequent refills of liquid helium. This solution has a notable impact on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, particularly in the environmental domain. It offers a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional systems, decreases carbon footprint in usage and associated logistical transportation. The alleviated dependency on helium and reduced cost make MRI more accessible worldwide, which can enhance safety and diagnostic capabilities in underserved regions, contributing to better health outcomes and equity. Moreover, helium-free systems help healthcare facilities comply with stringent environmental regulations, align with corporate sustainability goals and reporting requirements, demonstrating commitment to sustainable practices and building stakeholder trust. With BlueSeal becoming more prevalent, we are shifting to a helium-free MRI world, and creating significant positive impact in the society and in the future.
