Whether you’re joining us or just thinking about these topics on your own, here are some questions worth considering: 1. Do buyers see you as the obvious choice, or just one among many? Why or why not? 2. What is your company’s unique point of view? Do you have one? 3. Is product building things that make it easier to differentiate, or just closing feature gaps to competitors? 4. If you took a competitors messaging and swapped it out with your own, would buyers even notice? 5. If you’re in an emerging category where the winners aren’t defined, what are you telling the market so they see YOU as the standard? === These are my top 5 right now, but what would you add?

Money is defined by the functions it performs. The same can be said for many things. A spoon, adhesive tape, a car... But what about people? Right now, there's a labor market crisis with numerous reports of few vacancies, thousands of applicants per position, and companies often not hiring anyone in the end. It’s likely that companies, sensing that it’s an “employer’s market,” have also started following the "SOT" framework concept that we presented in Poster #4. They simply want to see flawless execution of required functions from employees. But that’s challenging because people aren’t things – they’re not spoons or adhesive tape... And that’s why the market is being sifted through so extensively. Yet another piece of evidence for the trend of perceiving the world in terms of "SOT". *Reflections on the poster "SOT | Superiority of things." More to come.
