We’re really excited that our second edition of Future Fuels is taking place later this week! On Friday 5th July we’ll be welcoming Mike Horswill from JLR, Paddy Lowe of Zero®, Teemu Sarjovaara of Neste, Rob Spragg from bp and Alessandro Ferrari of Haltermann Carless for an exciting panel discussion on the opportunities ahead for sustainable fuels. We’ll be tackling some of the key questions facing the industry right now, including: *How does the evolving regulatory environment support sector growth? *How do we overcome the cost gap between fossil and non-fossil products? *What are the challenges with sustainable fuel adoption for legacy powertrains and those in development? *What are the new risks associated with the advancing supply chain? *New feedstock options – which way should we go? Our panel and guests will then enjoy an afternoon of thrilling F1 action as we watch the teams get ready for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone! This event is now sold out! 💡🎙️ New on The Apex: The Truth About Synthetic Fuels. This week we sat down for a conversation with Martin Popilka, CEO of P1 FUELS. They are a company leading the development of 100% fossil-free fuel, and are the official fuel supplier for the FIA World Rally Championship. Their mission is to change the fuel, not the car, and their work extends beyond motorsport and into the world of classic and everyday vehicles. Sebastian Vettel is also a regular customer, and uses their fuel to run his classic F1 cars! 🏎️💨 It was an insightful, eye-opening conversation that left us feeling optimistic about the future of the internal combustion engine. 🔥⚙️🛠️ 🔗 Available on all streaming platforms: https://lnkd.in/ew-_Udx2 #P1Fuels #fossilfree #syntheticfuels #efuel #sustainablefuel #greentech #carculture #classiccars #automotive #Custodian #TheApex

Real-world hydrogen driving range after fresh refueling. Our FCEV is almost 8 years old. 👍😀 And to add another number in this small real-life example: H2-consumption from traveling from Munich to Weilheim via country road and actived air condition was 0.9 kg per 100 km. From my personal perspective, quite impressive for a 1st Gen. (FC)EV and some years in daily use (approx. 70.000 km overall). 🖖💡👍🤝

1. Will H2 ICE (Internal Combustion Engines fired by Hydrogen Gas) be a disruptor for Electric Vehicles (EVs) Industry? This article talks at length about H2 ICE and their advantages over EVs and ICE in Automotive Industry. 2. https://lnkd.in/gSaNEEaK

This article on H2 ICE (Internal Combustion Engines fired by H2 gas) for racing cars speaks of issues of H2 as a fuel viz means of delivery of H2 gas to injectors and it's injection into combustion space; H2 tends to ignite when in contact with a hot surface ie hot oil, hot combustion space, hot spark plug, hot valves, hence even before sparking shall occur pre-ignition shall set in, and to counter this, the manufacturers are planning on water injection into the combustion space for cooling, but this shall lead to drop in efficiency. It needs to be seen that, how H2 ICE shall replace conventional ICE fired by ethanol fuels.
