International participation is on the rise; here are some ways that event organizers can accommodate international exhibitors. “One of the fastest-growing segments of the trade show industry in 2024: international attendance and exhibitors. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We really can deliver amazing events with pretty much all the sessions, formats and networking you get at a real-world one. It is bring your own coffee, but on the plus side it's also not a half mile traipse to the loo!! Attending things online is hugely more productive, saving a massive amount of time and expense. It is much more environmentally responsible (by orders of magnitude), much easier for speakers, great for exhibitors and sponsors (if you do it right!), more inclusive, more accessible... it's a pretty big list of plusses. Thing is - the other elephant on the room is that the Expo industry doesn't want you to hold your event online. It is rarely as profitable for them. Question is,... what's right for you? (Please don't say Hybrid 😱 - that's a whole other discussion. Suffice to say that trying to please everyone rarely ends well).
