What initiatives are you focusing on right now? 🤔 Visiting and speaking to several brands over the last month, reducing "Where Is My Order" (WISMO) inquiries and enhance customer satisfaction, appears to be a hot topic again and a common thread amongst them. If you are putting some energy into this space, then consider the following strategies: 1. Proactive Communication: - Provide customers with real-time updates on their order status through automated notifications via email or SMS (maybe even SoMo). - Implement a tracking system no matter the delivery partner, that allows customers to easily monitor their shipments. 2. Clear Shipping Information: - Clearly communicate estimated delivery times during the checkout process. - Offer multiple shipping options with corresponding delivery timeframes, allowing customers to choose based on their preferences. 3. Detailed Order Confirmations: - Include comprehensive order confirmation emails that outline the expected delivery date, tracking information, and any relevant contact details for customer inquiries. 4. Customized Tracking Pages: - Enable a user-friendly and branded tracking page on your website or partner portal where customers can easily input their order details and receive real-time updates on the shipment's progress. 5. Customer Service Accessibility: - Ensure that customer service channels are easily accessible, and provide clear instructions on how customers can reach out for assistance with order-related inquiries. 6. Educational Resources: - Create FAQs and educational resources on your website to address common questions related to order tracking, delivery times, and potential delays. 7. Inventory Management: - Implement robust inventory management systems to minimize stockouts and ensure accurate availability information is provided to customers. 8. Collaborate with Reliable Carriers: - Partner with reputable and reliable carriers known for their timely and accurate deliveries, or align your product/market with carriers capability (see previous post for more on this). 9. Address Issues Proactively: - Anticipate and address potential issues before they result in WISMO inquiries. For example, communicate delays promptly and offer solutions or compensation if applicable. Utilize non-events to be proactive with the customer. 10. Post-Purchase Engagement: - Engage with customers post-purchase to gather feedback on the shipping experience. Use insights to continuously improve your fulfillment processes.
