My take on "the five love languages but make it workplace gender equality" post: 1. Pay women better wages. Acknowledge female-dominated industries like nursing, the community and social sectors, care industries, etc have all historically been underpaid because of gender-bias. That's why unions who fight for better wages for female dominated industries are vital to gender equality. 2. Employers to ask themselves whether they sincerely want women workers or not. If you DO want women to work for you, create the conditions to facilitate women working for you. For example, flexible working arrangements. 3. Stop the culture of blaming women. Women get blamed unfairly for organisational issues due to how (male) misogyny and female misogyny play out. Stop it. If a worker is struggling, help them. 4. Stick to G-rated content at work. Women probably don't want to hear that joke so don't tell it. 5. Stop expecting part-time workers to do a full-time workload. Women who are employed are more likely to work in part-time or casual roles. That means, unrealistic expectations of part-time work is very much a women's issue. If you pay for part-time, then manage your expectations accordingly.
