LETS KEEP THE LIGHTS ON LEGALLY! Recent news reports highlight that City Power SDC has begun addressing illegal power connections in various townships and suburbs. As residents of the suburbs, we must remain vigilant and proactive in protecting our electrical infrastructure from potential vandalism.
Some individuals who witnessed the dismantling of these illegal setups have expressed intentions to continue exploiting illicit connections. This means we must be even more watchful in safeguarding our power supply. If you notice anyone tampering with substations, streetlights, or poles, please notify your security company immediately if City Power still needs to be informed.
As citizens, we share the responsibility to protect our infrastructure. City Power cannot constantly monitor every area, but we, as community members, play a crucial role as their eyes and ears. In our neighbourhood, we are always on alert. Personally, I make it a point to approach groups near power infrastructure and ask if there’s any issue. It’s vital that we look out for one another, and our actions are instrumental in maintaining the safety of our community.
Together, through vigilance and cooperation with City Power, we can help create a safer, more secure future for our community.
For a brighter tomorrow, let's stay committed to our shared goal of a safer, more secure community. Our vigilance and cooperation with City Power are crucial to achieving this.
