Execute a process to identify and mitigate safety risks inherent to the product design to an acceptable level; conduct rigorous safety risk assessments, hazard evaluations, utilize human factors principles to drive design improvements in order to eliminate human error in the operation and maintenance of the product in the fieldDeveloping specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. #RecruitingRants rant of the Day We all know Programs like DCO (Direct Commissioning Officer) can take FOREVER. To make sure your time and the recruiters time are best used, here are a few tips to follow: 1. Efficiency is key 🔑! Time management will save you and make for an immaculate application. 2. Break your application up into phases ex: -Medical -Security background info depending on program -Program Document completion -Interviews (prep and studying --> actual interview) -Final touches Not fully inclusive of all things in a DCO package but just to get your mental gears jogging. DO NOT: send one document at a time to your recruiter. It demonstrates- 1. Inefficiency 2. Lack of care for time 3. Selfishness for convenience 4. Lack of attention to detail (especially because my instructions for example tell you not to do this). Becoming an officer is not easy. It's a journey and you have to be willing to deal with the ups and downs of the process. I love meeting you at the finish line to congratulate you on your selection and ultimately commission you into the Navy Reserves! I am not deterring you to apply, but want to carefully make sure you are equipped with the tools to succeed and survive for some, a multi year process.

The suitable candidate should possess not only the technical skills and knowledge required for the task but also a deep understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
