📣 Project Spotlight: South East Water Headquarters The stepped atrium design isn't just aethetic; it maximises internal views and promotes transparency. But atriums create uniques challenges for fire safety. We were able to achieve the architectural vision, without compromising safety by using Computational Fluid Dynamic Modelling (CFD) to analyse the risk of smoke spreading through the atrium void. The CFD analysis and evacuation analysis validated the performance-based design and satisfied the relevant performance requirements.
