Kenyan educational technology company Eneza Education has merged with Pakistan Knowledge Platform to create a groundbreaking African-Asian #edtechventure based out of Singapore. Eneza and Knowledge Platform's merger brings together the pair's respective expertise in SMS based learning solutions for underserved African communities and their gamified digital learning approach in Asia. Under the Knowledge Platform brand, the new entity will leverage the strengths of both companies to extend quality education access to emerging markets. Knowledge Platform will complement Eneza's already successful mobile-first education model to reach students with little or no internet access.. The merger has received support from major telecommunications companies, including Safaricom, which previously collaborated with Eneza on the "Shupavu 291" SMS-based platform. Taking up a challenge from HiiL Innovation Hub, West Africa , I wasn't too sure of what to put in when making the application, so I stumbled on Idris Taiwo post on expanding your horizons. Even thou i had the understanding of what I wanted, I still needed that some touch of flow. At often times we get caught up in our own specialized fields and industries. But, have you ever considered the benefits of taking a step back and looking at things from a broader and diverse perspective? This has cost me several backdown even while participating in hackathons, the thought of "It's a perfect job" without asking for feedback lands me into serious breaks after revealing the project.
