Understanding of micro service architecture, Infrastructure , Network Responsibilities: Monitoring: Application and Infrastructure Monitoring Automating: Automating the deployment process and automating toil-reducing automation Improving: Improving the software development lifecycle by holding post-incident reviews and documenting all software problems and solutions in a shared knowledge base Developing and maintaining: Developing and maintaining the system and its services, ensuring system scaling, and identifying and implementing preventive measures Collaborating: Collaborating with key stakeholders Reducing toil: Reducing the amount of repetitive work a team must do On-call duties: Diagnosing, mitigating, fixing, or escalating incidents as needed, and being regularly responsible for nonurgent production duties

We are hiring GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer on a contract bases of 6-8 months. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment 2.  Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions on GCP. 3. Deploy and manage GCP services in both development and production environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. 4. Implement and manage core services such as BigQuery, Datafusion, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Cloud Storage, Data Fusion, Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions and more. 5. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or CLI scripts to automate provisioning and configuration of GCP resources. 6. Establish and document best practices for IaC to ensure consistent and efficient deployments across environments. 7. DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline Development 8. Create and manage DevOps pipelines for automated build, test, and release management, integrating with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent. 9. Work with development and operations teams to optimize deployment workflows, manage application dependencies, and improve delivery speed. Security and IAM Management 10. Handle user and service account management in Google Cloud IAM. 11. Set up and manage Secrets Manager and Cloud Key Management for secure storage of credentials and sensitive information. 12. Implement network and data security best practices to ensure compliance and security of cloud resources. 13. Set up monitoring and logging (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Error Reporting) to ensure systems perform optimally.   Technical Skills 1. Expertise with GCP services, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Datafusion, Airflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL. 2. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. 3. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes (e.g. GitLab CI, Cloud Build). Should be able to guide the team technically and be proactive in providing the inputs to prevent failures. Performs root cause analysis and guides the team to resolve frequently recurring issues. Good design skills.    Documentation:  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures. Should be well versed with Atlassian suite such as confluence.   Collaboration:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
