San Francisco Tech Week Recap 🚀 ...last week was incredibly intense. . 🏃🏼 So, San Francisco had its own version of TECH WEEK by a16z and other solid partners. Imagine five days packed with hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of events, panels, and meetups. You know that feeling when you’re at a music festival with multiple stages, and it’s tough to decide where to go or catch up with friends? That’s exactly how Tech Week felt—so much going on at once, it was hard to keep track of the best sessions, though the quality at most places was really solid! 😅 But overall, it was a fantastic experience! My goal—apart from focusing on DoxyChain US expansion—was to meet both new ... and old friends (as you can see in the picture). ⬇️ Here are some, quick thoughts: 1️⃣ Pace Yourself: If you’re trying to be productive during Tech Week, limit yourself to attending two events per day, max. Anything more is overkill. 2️⃣ Manage Expectations: Don’t expect to meet people who will magically change your life. The truth is, a lot of the real builders are at home, heads down, working with their teams—not at conferences. 3️⃣ From an Event Organizer’s Perspective: Conferences like this are incredible lead magnets for attracting potential clients. The ROI on prospects vs. the cost of hosting can be very healthy. #techweek DoxyChain #SF #USA

I'm often asked my top 5 tips for a successful event, so here you go! 1: Do not have people on stage if they are not doing something. Only bring panellists or chairs up to speak and then find a graceful way to bring them back down! 2: Give people a chance to take it all in! Don't pack too much into your schedule and allow time for breaks and chatting. People need time to process, eat, use the bathroom etc. Sometimes our enthusiasm for the content makes us forget we are dealing with biological humans who have physiological needs! 3: Use as little video as possible and try to use it for dramatic effect rather than to give information. People are at a live event - they want to see real life people talking. 4: Allow panellists at least 10 minutes of time each plus q+a. They've travelled and prepared for this thing - let them make their points! 5: If you are designing an event, speak to a professional MC or events expert *early on* about your programme because once you've started booking things in, it can be often be tricky to walk them back. If you'd like to talk about how to get the most out of your next event, get in touch for a free pre-event consultation at www.whipsmartmedia.com I'll be at the Technology Industry Alliance's annual #TIATechfest tomorrow, (they do all of the above, btw), and it makes it for a really engaging day that's paced just right. Hope to see you tomorrow! https://lnkd.in/dZc9Ngs3

This evening at 5pm, we’re back at Revolución de Cuba for another fantastic social networking event! After the incredible energy at Belfast Tech Week, we’re excited to keep the momentum going. We’ll be up in the Mezzanine Bar, creating the perfect space for conversations, connection, and collaboration. Here’s what sets us apart—growth isn’t just about scaling; it’s about learning, reflecting, and sharing the highs and lows of the journey. At The Growth Network, we embrace collaborative advantage, focusing on progress over perfection. Building a business can be tough, and we’ve had our doubts and challenges along the way. But that’s why this community exists—to support each other and create opportunities together. Our events aren’t about pitching or the hard sell, but rather meaningful conversations that lead to real progress. If you joined us for Tech Week, you know the value of these moments. If you’re new, you’re in for something special—a space where genuine conversations with doers make all the difference. So, if you’re ready to learn, grow, and connect with others on a similar path, we’d love to see you there. Join us tonight at Revolución de Cuba. The Growth Network Founder | We Help SMEs Do Business Better With An Ecosystem That Provides Community, Collaboration, Innovation, And Support—The Keys To Success | Let's Talk! 🚀✨
Tonight at 5 p.m., The Growth Network returns to Revolución de Cuba for a different kind of #networking—one focused on real connections and mutual support. After the excitement of Belfast Tech Week, I’m excited to keep this momentum going with conversations that truly matter. For me, growth isn’t just about scaling a business—it’s about reflecting on the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between. That’s what The Growth Network is built on: collaboration, learning, and making progress together, not just chasing the dream. I’ve had my fair share of doubts and challenges, and that’s why I created this #community—to ensure that no one has to go it alone. Our events aren’t about numbers or the hard sell. They’re about meaningful #connections with people who understand the journey. If you’re ready for honest conversations and support that sparks real progress, join us tonight. It might just be the conversation that changes everything. See you at Revolución de Cuba—grab your FREE ticket here: https://lnkd.in/esXfZ22N 🚀 Let’s take that next step together. 🤝

Last week Saturday, I attended my first physical event for this year. Here's everything I benefited from it; (For real, I never thought physical events were as inspiring as this, I would have paid more attention to it earlier 😭) 📌 I made friends. 📌 I learnt from experts. 📌 My "why" got strengthened. 📌 I got to network with like minds. 📌 I got inspired by young ladies in tech. 📌 I got a moment to think outside school activities. 📌 I had the opportunity to join valuable tech communities. ... and lots more. So, if you're there and still doubting the power of attending physical events, you've probably been doing it the wrong way, change your perspective of it and trust me, you'll see the benefits I saw. What's that one thing you look forward to when attending physical events? 📷: 😁 #linkedin #physicalevents #techchefy
