Interesting Economy, People, and Skills report from SDS. Disheartening to see youth unemployment (16-24 year old) increasing year on year particularly when there are still a vast number of apprenticeships across the network available. Is it a case of young people not knowing exactly where to look or is it more a case of those influencing young people not knowing enough about the options available?! Also, when the overall job market (and economy) is in decline, there will always be those industries that buck the trend. It’ll be interesting to see which industries in particular thrive in the coming months.
