My favorite memory of celebrating Bengali New Year or Pohela Boishakh was cooking with my mother. We would wear traditional clothing, get our insanely large family together to share a meal, and end the night by exchanging gifts. These moments are more than just family traditions; they are deep, soulful ties to my roots that truly fill me with pride and a sense of belonging.
