6 months remain to chase those yearly goals. How are you progressing? Time to check in on my 2024 Goals. 📶 I focus on several of these daily, while others I focus on weekly. It's the best way I've found to make the progress I think I need to make in these areas. So here is my update. ▶ Be a better version of myself I continue to take daily steps towards this goal. Always opportunity to improve. ▶ Read ~10 pages of a book each day Since Jan 1st, I've read 11,114 pages for a total of 32 books. June has been my best month, almost surpassing my entire original yearly goal in a single month with 3,524 pages thanks to the Red Rising series. My best day was almost 300 pages. I'm on book 6 of 7 in the Red Rising series - Light Bringer. GREAT series for anyone looking for a Sci-Fi series to read. I'll also get to experience the "wait for a book release" as the 7th book won't be out until early 2025. ▶ Improve Python knowledge I've been focused on this the last month, trying to gain more traction. 66 days to make a habbit. Big plans! ▶ Find a Mentor I have one, looking for another 1-2. Always good to have additional input. ▶ Focus on Solving for the Outcome I've created an April, I'll be making a list of what I can do to work towards this goal. ▶ Attain 15 NEW technical certifications Slowed down a bit here the last 2 months. 47% towards my overall goal. Have a few in the queue, expecting to pick up the pace here soon. Expect to see a few updates very soon. ✅ HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate ✅ Salesforce Certified AI Associate ✅ Google Cloud Certified - Professional Google Workspace Administrator ✅ Spiff Designer - Level 1 Certification ✅ Spiff Designer - Level 2 Certification ✅ Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer ✅ Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Database Engineer ▶ Grow my network Looking at more ways to grow my network. ▶ Find the positive, not the negative I'm going to shift some of my reading towards a few books on this topic. Two birds with one stone. #2024goals #2024success #yearlygoals #certificationjourney #keeplearningkeepgrowing #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #nozerodays

Exciting Times at the 12th K8SUG Meetup!!!!! I had the pleasure of attending the 12th K8SUG meetup on July 25th at the AWS Toronto Office. The event was an enriching experience, brimming with valuable insights and networking opportunities. A highlight of the event was the Next Generation K8s Management Workshop presented by Tim Brun and Dmitry Shevrin from SpectroCloud. Their session demonstrated how SpectroCloud is pioneering advancements in Kubernetes management. Key Takeaways: Profile Management: SpectroCloud enables the creation of defined profiles for add-on applications (e.g., monitoring pods, ingress, DB pods) to be installed across Kubernetes clusters. Separate profiles can also be created for essential Kubernetes components such as the node OS, Kubernetes versions, CNI, and CSI. This allows for flexible combinations of application stacks and Kubernetes components to streamline cluster setup. Cluster Importing: SpectroCloud supports importing clusters from a wide array of popular cloud providers, allowing centralized management on a single platform, including AKS, GKE, and EKS. Advanced Kubernetes Management: SpectroCloud provides a comprehensive platform designed to simplify Kubernetes operations, facilitating easier management of clusters at scale. Enhanced Security: The platform integrates robust security features to safeguard Kubernetes environments from potential threats. Cost Optimization: SpectroCloud offers tools that ensure efficient resource utilization, aiding organizations in reducing costs while maximizing performance. This session reinforced SpectroCloud’s status as an industry leader, shaping the future of Kubernetes management and container orchestration. I extend my gratitude to the organizers, K8SUG/K8SDM, and the sponsors, CNCF, KodeKloud, AWS, and SpectroCloud, for orchestrating such an impactful event. https://lnkd.in/gfsYmTB9 #Kubernetes #SpectroCloud #K8SUG #CloudComputing #DevOps #Observability #ContainerManagement #AWS #Networking
