Acronyms…. When’s the next GRU? FBU? If I attend will it cover RWA? A friend asked about a RFT for an IVFP if it’s not a prioritised pillar, I said I’d ask someone at the next NGN I went to. Speaking of F2F events, at the LLS field day, there was a Q&A on QA’s, and I picked up FS’s on BGM, NUE, CR and the NMG. FFS 🤦♀️ In a digital age, why do people insist on inventing an acronym to save a few words? As there is obviously no print cost, I can only interpret their use as deliberate obfuscation or laziness. Not only do acronyms lead to confusion and misinterpretation, while destroying searchability and readability, their use by our farmer funded organisations speaks to a disconnect and lack of understanding of core business - communicating to stakeholders effectively. After the January 6th launch, these teams are deep into build season and getting ready for the March District Events. “Gracious professionalism” in the FIRST Robotics League encourages participants to act with integrity, respect, and cooperation, fostering a positive atmosphere. “Coopertition" combines cooperation and competition, emphasizing that teams can compete vigorously while still assisting and valuing one another. These concepts promote a supportive community, enhance the learning experience, and contribute to the development of well-rounded individuals who value both competition and collaboration in the pursuit of shared goals. Thrilled that these students are learning these concepts and behaviors in high school! How do you embrace and employ these concepts in your professional and personal life? #firstrobotics #stem #futureleaders #graciousprofessionalism #coopertition #mentoring
Join our weekly FRC call tonight at 7 PM Eastern for a discussion about Gracious Professionalism and General Event Rules for our upcoming FRC season. Wonderful and insightful meeting last week, in Brussels, with so many esteemed colleagues from all over #Europe in the context of the DLC - Distribution Law Center , discussing about news and recent developments on #distribution and #vertical restraints in our countries - and of course enjoying our time in Brussels. Looking forward to the next one! Pavia e Ansaldo #antitrust #antitrustlaw #antitrustlawyers #competitionlaw #competitionlawyers #europeancommission #distributionlaw #commercialdistribution
Last week, we had a fantastic reunion with all DLC contributors in the beautiful city of Brussels. The event kicked off with a delightful dinner on Thursday, a perfect setting for our contributors to reconnect and share experiences. 🚀 Friday was filled with insightful sessions, starting with DG COMP who answered several questions on the interpretation of the VBER, followed by a presentation on the UK regime on vertical agreements post-Brexit by our esteemed UK contributor Annabel Borg from Eversheds Sutherland. Our panel discussions, focusing on resale price maintenance, online sales and advertising, and procedural aspects of vertical cases, were also well-received. 🔔 Stay tuned! We will soon upload all the meeting materials on our website. Don’t miss out on these valuable resources! #dlc #Brussels #RPM #DGCOMP #UK

Last week I completed PFFU Player Participation Data Training from PFF. In addition to being a fun side project, I've already learned a ton about personnel groupings, substitution patterns, and player roles and responsibilities from play to play. Time to start charting some games! #footballanalytics #PFF
