Do you want to know more about? The mighty Brahma Chicken A.K.A.The King of All Poultry. Here is the link below.
Brahma Chicken breed It is a gigantic chicken breed with feathered yellow shanks and toes, reddish brown eyes, red earlobes, and a pea comb. It is a dual-purpose breed that can be used for ornamental purposes, meat, and eggs. It is often referred to as the “King of All Poultry,” the Brahma chicken is by no doubt appreciated for its great size, vigor, and strength. Some individual chickens were once recorded to reach an incredible weight of 6.4kgs for females and 8.4kgs for males although the most common weight today is 5kgs for females and 6kgs for males. They can be up to 30” tall or more depending on the growing conditions. They tend to mature slowly but when it finally develops, truly it's worth the wait. They come in three color varieties namely, Light, Dark, and Buff. This breed was introduced in England and America in the 1850s and it fuelled what was termed “Hen Fever” which was a national obsession for poultry by that time. Later in December 1852, Mr. George Burnham shipped nine of his finest light Brahma breeds as a gift to H.M.G. Majesty Queen Victoria of England, this gave the gift the publicity it deserved, making it a historical breed. They are hardy chickens; the hens can go broody and make good mothers. For their size, they are good layers producing up to 200 large medium brown eggs per year. This is a docile and calm breed that is friendly with people although their size tends to intimidate smaller children. Furthermore, they are not aggressive to other breeds but they are respected, feared, and not usually intimated because of their size and strength. Do you want to add this wonderful breed to your flock, then don’t hesitate to contact us. US beef quality continues to improve with more beef grading Prime than ever before. A big focus on marbling and tenderness by breeders has helped but a key point that was missed here is that we continue to see the growing Angus influence across many herds. https://lnkd.in/g-5v5gFZ

Chicken of the Woods is an amazing sight in a woodland, and a great mushroom for beginners because it’s easy to identify, nice tasting, a fantastic meat substitute, and there are no toxic lookalikes. However, there are a few caveats regarding its safe edibility which I also cover in this video. #mushrooms #fungi #nature #meatsubstitute #foraging #wildfood #connecttonature
