Anyone remember RayGun from the 90s? As a Gen Xer who lived through grunge, experimental graphic design in magazines such as RayGun and Rolling Stone, work of Paula Scher, artful music videos by the Talking Heads, Tool, and Primus and many many bands shaped a lot of my aesthetic. These were masters of typography and layout and handmade objects and stop motion that did not rely on AI or even software to create beautiful pieces of design.
