What do founders and enterprises fear most? Survival and business continuity. It's often said that the best leaders are the ones who can make themselves redundant and there is truth to that. At any level of responsibility, you should look to build a stable organisation that can outlive itself. You can do this by applying these two #tips: ✅ Decentralize a maximum of work: decisions should be taken where the most amount of information is. Have people take ownership of their responsibilities, don't centralize everything into one person. In today's world, that person will never be able to keep up anyways, which is bad for business. Rule of thumb: DIY first and keep the boss as a joker or wild card in everything you do. ✅ Define a #sharedpurpose, #capabilities and #processes that make sense regarding the enterprise ambition - people will adopt it as long as they believe in it. Leaders may change, but these elements do not change easily if there's a critical mass behind it. A minimum of stability is required and does not exclude #agile ways of working.
