Did you do ANY research on our company? Surface-level means basic research. What industry are they in? Which town? What are they roughly doing? Who are you speaking to? CEO? Head of Marketing? No-one needs you to tell them that they went to Yale and graduated in 2008. 2/3 Make it about the prospect. Generally speaking, no-one cares about you, your company or how good you are. Can you help your prospect? Good. Show them how. 3/3 Most people think they have an offer. But in reality they only have a company description. 'We do email marketing with Klaviyo and increased AOV by 40% with our emails for another e-com brand.' This isn’t an offer. ’We can help you do the same and you only pay us per percentage increase. We guarantee to increase it by 20% this month or you don’t pay until we do.‘ Easy test if your offer is clear enough: Imagine a billboard showcasing ONLY your offer.
