A podcaster asked a digital marketer, 'What’s the best advice to increase website conversions by 300%?' Last Sunday, while I was cleaning my office and listening to a podcast on Spotify, I learned many things. Suddenly, this question grabbed my attention, and I stopped cleaning. The podcaster asked, What’s the best advice to increase website conversions? The digital marketer said that 'Do this one simple thing and see the magic👇 👉 Double down on social proof. Show them how other people have been transformed after using your service and how they can be too! People trust other people.' Simple. What is your opinion on this? —————— Follow me, tap my bell 🔔 on my profile You will be notified the second I post. ................................................................

The South African Digital Marketing Podcast is an opportunity for me to talk to people who are actively doing great things in the industry. Yes, I want to learn from them, but mostly this is a chance to talk shop with other marketers! In this episode we dig down into the maze that is Google ads with Dean Lurie MSc, who’s has google ads as a speciality along with a bunch of other marketing skills. I wanted to know the best way to get started with Google ads, what most of us get wrong, and what success on the platform looks like. Your podcast can be your marketing engine. If you use it correctly... Posting to Spotify and Apple is only the start. After that, you can... 1. Turn it into a promo email 2. Create a newsletter deep dive 3. Publish the episode to YouTube 4. Break out 2-3 YouTube segments 5. Clip it into 3-5 60-second clips for social Don't hit publish on your show and hope people listen. When people find out that I'm a communications consultant, they'll often ask, “Should our organization… …be on Facebook/X/Instagram/TikTok?” …send out press releases?” …have a newsletter?” …start a podcast/blog?” …write op-eds?” My answer is a very unsatisfying, but truthful, "Maybe." 🤷♀️ What I explain next is that unfortunately there's no one right answer for every organization, because it depends greatly on: ✅ What you want to accomplish ✅ Who you need to make that happen ✅ How to reach those folks and motivate them ✅ The time and resources you are willing or able to dedicate to this outreach There are so many platforms, so many outlets, and so many ways to connect. The good news is that you don't have to – and really shouldn't – try to do it all. Rather than running yourself ragged trying to do a bit of everything, you're far better off doing a few important things well. At Call to Action Strategies, I help organizations of all sizes prioritize the communications activities that will work best for them. If this is something you're interested in exploring, please drop me a line at 📩 ciara@ctastrategies.com and we'll find some time to chat.
