At yesterday’s National Innovation Policy Forum, CRA welcomed the announcement by Shadow Minister Paul Fletcher that the Opposition supports the continuation of Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres Program. Established in 1990, the CRC Program is an Australian Government initiative that funds industry-led collaborations between industry, researchers, and end users, helping to drive innovation and tackle the issues we currently face within the R&D landscape. At the event, Shadow Minister Fletcher highlighted that “a lot more thought needs to be put into how we get the research out of the labs and into the marketplace” – something that lies at the core of this industry-led initiative. We appreciate the recognition for the CRC Program, which will clearly be integral to helping shape Australia’s future business model. #NIPF2024 #CRCProgram #CRCs #cooperativeresearch #industryresearchcollaboration #industryresearch #australianbusinessmodel

Earlier this year, UKCDR published our case study booklet, "Evidencing the wide-reaching benefits of international development research". The booklet includes a new UKCDR framework, developed in discussion with other experts in the field, for understanding the concept of "secondary benefits". Across seven distinct case studies, we apply this framework to demonstrate how UK research funding supports the delivery of primary benefits in #LMICs and secondary benefits around the world. Curious? Get to know our case study booklet today ⬇️ bit.ly/3YHYOF4

Like to do things differently? Me too! I'm excited to be involved in the 'Half Baked Ideas' Workshop at the Critical Management Studies Conference again in June 2025. Designed to foster open discussions and provide feedback on emerging projects, , papers, and other research-related activities. These sessions aim to cultivate a caring, supportive CMS community—a space where participants, from early-career researchers to seasoned professors (and practitioners too!), can bring their ‘half-baked ideas’ and see them flourish through collaborative exchange. 🌱 Whether it’s: 📚 Exploring a specific question, 💡 Unpacking literature or theory, 🔍 Reflecting on methodologies, 🤝 Engaging in critical friendships, or 🧪 Experimenting with new thoughts— These sessions are all about free imagination, collegial support, and connection. Inspired by successful models from ICMS conferences (including a session at ICMS 2023 in Nottingham), we’re excited to continue this tradition. Call for submissions in the post below. Let’s create, regenerate, and inspire together! 🚀 #CriticalManagementStudies #ResearchCommunity #ProfessionalDevelopment #Collaboration
Do you have a 'half-baked' CMS research idea? Come and join myself, Jenny Davidson, Ilaria Boncori PhD PFHEA FCIPD and Carolyn Hunter for our workshop at #ICMS2025 in Manchester next June for a supportive and nurturing discussion! Please find the call for submissions here https://lnkd.in/e4tKGJ5V
