At yesterday’s National Innovation Policy Forum, CRA welcomed the announcement by Shadow Minister Paul Fletcher that the Opposition supports the continuation of Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres Program.    Established in 1990, the CRC Program is an Australian Government initiative that funds industry-led collaborations between industry, researchers, and end users, helping to drive innovation and tackle the issues we currently face within the R&D landscape.   At the event, Shadow Minister Fletcher highlighted that “a lot more thought needs to be put into how we get the research out of the labs and into the marketplace” – something that lies at the core of this industry-led initiative.    We appreciate the recognition for the CRC Program, which will clearly be integral to helping shape Australia’s future business model.   #NIPF2024 #CRCProgram #CRCs #cooperativeresearch #industryresearchcollaboration #industryresearch #australianbusinessmodel

Earlier this year, UKCDR published our case study booklet, "Evidencing the wide-reaching benefits of international development research". The booklet includes a new UKCDR framework, developed in discussion with other experts in the field, for understanding the concept of "secondary benefits". Across seven distinct case studies, we apply this framework to demonstrate how UK research funding supports the delivery of primary benefits in #LMICs and secondary benefits around the world. Designed to foster open discussions and provide feedback on emerging projects, , papers, and other research-related activities.
