This week we held a fascinating workshop with Waterford City & County Council, TASC - Think-tank for Action on Social Change, Waterford Area Partnership and Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. The Climate Actions Works programme aims to bring communities and organisations closer together to expand the capacity for climate action at a local level. During the workshop, we sought to combine our growing understanding of behavioural barriers to the uptake of climate-beneficial behaviours, with the very insightful research conducted by TASC/WAP in Larchville & Lisduggan, to meet the needs of those communities. As is often the case, the challenges to building solutions are wide and varied but there are hopeful signs of progress in building momentum that can be applied and replicated elsewhere. We look forward to further engaging with stakeholders to support the exciting work being conducted in Waterford generally and Larchville and Lisduggan in particular.
