What is going on lately. 🤯 🚨 ‼️Thousands of internal documents from Google’s Content API Warehouse were leaked, providing insights into the company’s search alghorithms. For the first time ever. ‼️ 📈The leaked documentation outlines 2,596 modules with 14,014 attributes connected to various Google services, including YouTube, Assistant, and web documents 📊While the exact weighting of ranking features remains undisclosed, the leak confirms their existence. Notably, Google employs “twiddlers” for re-ranking and considers factors like link diversity, user satisfaction, and successful clicks in determining search rankings. 🕣Moreover, Google keeps a copy of every version of every indexed page, using the last 20 changes for link analysis. Tl’dr analysis coming shortly, super detailed analysis via link below ➡️ this leak (accidental or not) brings potentially the biggest batch of know how for SEO agencies ever… or at least on that scale. 💥 https://lnkd.in/dg4yhnrv #seo #google #leak #alghorithms #pagerank

Why is nobody talking about the Google Search leaks? This is such valuable information for anyone who wants to know how Google determines your website's ranking... I'll make it quick. 1. Click through rate (CTR) matters and dependent on how long the user stays on the page for 2. Google uses Chrome browser data to find out the number of clicks on a page to to determine the most popular URL's to calculate what needs to be on the sitelink feature 3. Whitelists among Travel, Covid, and Politic niches 4. Quality Rater Feedback - these are people who provide feedback to Google 5. Google uses click data to determine the weight of your link. If there is high volume of clicks, your link will become trusted and be placed to a higher tier index Some interesting articles to read... https://lnkd.in/gyVJPc2R https://lnkd.in/g6-ddqKA #SEO

Remember all of those ranking factors that Google Search representatives have denied existed on many occasions? Domain authority? Dwell time? Click-through rates? Guess what? They are part of many signals that determine how websites will rank in search results. The big question now: How will anyone be able to trust anything Google Search says now? #SEO https://lnkd.in/g_qKRrZF

Everyone's talking about the Google documentation leak. And I love the drama as much as the rest of y'all but ... While the details are complex, the takeaways are pretty simple. 💥 Good SEO is about getting a lot of little things right. I've seen a lot of arguing (and been in some internal arguments myself) about whether this little thing or that little thing will actually impact search performance. In most cases, the answer is yes ... and no. Yes, it does have in impact, but typically not on its own. 💥Domain authority - or some measure like it - is used in Google's ranking system. This is one of reasons why building a top-performing site takes time. 💥 Meeting search intent and providing a satisfying user experience rules all. These are areas that require hard work and for which are no shortcuts. Thanks to @michaelkingphilly from iPullRank and Rand Fishkin for doing the legwork on this analysis - so much fun to read! #seo #Googleleak

The recent leak of Google's internal ranking system documentation has shown how the search engine giant has repeatedly provided misleading information to the SEO community for years. Despite Google's representatives vehemently denying the use of click-through rate (CTR) and dwell time as ranking factors, the leaked docs reveal the existence of systems like "NavBoost" that explicitly utilize user click behavior and engagement signals to adjust rankings. The documentation also confirms what many SEOs had long suspected - that Google does indeed calculate and employ site-wide authority metrics like "siteAuthority", contrary to their public statements about not having anything like "domain authority." This leak reinforces the importance of not blindly trusting Google's messaging on how their algorithms work. While their representatives likely aim to deter spam, they have clearly misled SEOs and creators about critical ranking components. As SEOs, we must remain skeptical, continue testing and experimenting, and prioritize making great content that helps build our entities and develop expertise for more than just Google search. This inside look validates much of what the SEO community has uncovered through extensive research and is very much worth checking out: https://lnkd.in/eaSsTUrw #seo #seostrategy #seoranking

Google is generally very good at ignoring irrelevant links. If needed, you can disavow those links or file a spam report.” 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐰 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬: Google recommends using the disavow tool only if: 👉 You have many spammy, artificial, or low-quality links. 👉 These links have caused or will likely cause a manual action against your site. Let me explain Why it matters. The concept of toxic links became popular after Google’s 2012 Penguin update, a significant event in the SEO world that penalized low-quality and paid links. So, what should you do to tackle this If the Toxic links affect your site? Disavow those links and focus on creating quality content and maintaining a clean backlink profile.
