In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that multiple rape gangs in UK trafficked children across the country. These crimes have been taking place for years. Join News9 Plus Editor Sandeep Unnithan, Dr @Neeraj Patil, former Mayor of the London borough of Lambeth and a labour party leader; Geo-political Analyst & President of Scarab Rising, Inc, Irina Tsukerman and Founder & Editor-In-Chief of Goa Chronicle @Savio Rodrigues, as they analyse the devastating chain of crimes committed in the UK. Download News9 Plus for more such insightful content. I joined NEWS9 to discuss the Pakistani rape gangs scandal in UK (or rather its return to the headlines), and #elonmusk's apparent interference in British #politics. Some of the points I raised: * The Pakistani rape gangs were a real threat and concern, as was the cover-up involving various British institutions and officials. I mentioned the #corruption inside UK political parties, the excessive political correctness, the history of ignoring or burying real problems, and the fact that the Islamists are an even bigger threat in UK than just those gangs, underscoring the growing presence of "#asylum seekers" who are often nothing more than violent criminals or terrorists with blood on their hands who are quite welcome in UK. * I added that despite the faulty institutional approach over the years, some of the #mainstream #media gave adequate and even great coverage to the issue, selecting The Telegraph as a fine example of a publication that gave voice to the victims of these #sextrafficking rings. To the extent these gangs are still an issue, they should, of course, be exposed, investigated, and put on trial. But this story is not new and has been covered extensively many years ago.

- I opined that Musk's commentary is unlikely to have desired impact, beyond #socialmedia noise and #kerfuffles. First, his posts on X lack specificity that could be helpful in identifying and resolving any potentially stalled cases. Second, his self-serving political opportunism is likely at best to be ignored and possibly backfire by discrediting the Pakistani rape gang story. Those who see Musk's hawking down as unwelcome are likely to dismiss the story as exaggerated or med-up and to feel justified to ignore it because it is being politically weaponized for very narrow reasons. Musk is blundering onwards, unaware or not caring about the real-time impact of his involvement.

I added that Musk's interference in British politics, unseemly as it may be, is about his political agenda, not about serving the needs of the rape victims or doling out real justice to the perpetrators. I added that #DonaldTrump himself has stayed away from commenting too much over the domestic policies of other countries, to his credit, unless these issues are somehow relevant to US priorities as per his platform, and that Musk is basically freelancing well beyond the scope of his official authority or relationship with #Trump. - I expressed surprise that Musk, while jumping on the support of far right parties in #Germany and UK, is ignoring the political and social situation in his native #SouthAfrica, where the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the world, and where rape is a very common occurrence, along with the skyrocketing #AIDS rates. I explained that #SouthAfrica's population is suffering from the impact of #conspiracytheories and myths such as that raping virgins could cure men of #AIDS. Moreover, I continued, #SouthAfrica's leadership has cozy relationships with Islamists, including terrorist organizations, of every brand. Why is Musk not talking about that?

- I noted that the timing for Elon Musk's #socialmedia intervention, specifically to attack PM Starmer as a former Crown Prosecutor, is hardly coincidental: Musk is seeing to contribute to the political victory of the Reform Party, and even seeks to replace Nigel Farage as party leader with someone more hardline. He has been criticized for offering alleged financial support to the party. Farage, I added, was the one who brought the #Brexit issue to the forefront of mainstream political discourse at top level; many of the grievances about the BRussels overbearing hand in the EU or #Germany's excessive power, were legitimate, but Farage was supported by a hardline anti-immigration businessman with alleged ties to #Russia, and Farage himself had been accused of echoing Russian talking points or having ties to Russia before the #Ukraine invasion, after which such ties became unacceptable and he moved away towards a more moderate position, which Musk now seeks to replace.
