“We, the leaders of Japan, the Philippines, and the United States, met today for the first Summit between our three countries. As three Indo-Pacific maritime democracies, our nations and the half-billion people we collectively represent are bound together by historical ties of friendship, robust and growing economic relations, and a proud and resolute commitment to our shared fundamental values of freedom, democracy, respect for human rights, and the rule of law.” READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/eMUhKueM

SOMETHINGS OLD, SOMETHINGS BORROWED, CREATING SOLID NATIONS 1. Botswana and Malaysia are two great examples of countries where the post-colonial leaders/rulers sat down after independence. 2. Rather than simply continuing with colonial-lefts-behind governance structures, they strategised and innovated to arrive at national structure that take bits of British colonialism but more of their pre-British systems and came out with a very successful and uniquely blend of their own. 3. Crucially the elected leaders and representatives are not supreme … but power is somewhat diffused. 4. Nigeria’s 1963 Constitution-making was the nearest Nigerian elites got to thinking along similar lines.

The powerful and rich hold immense influence over politicians, who find themselves unable to displease these elites. Politicians rely on their money and support to stay in power, leading to a deeply corr-upted system. This dynamic ensures that political decisions primarily serve the endless interests of the elite, often at the expense of the common good. As a result, the needs and well-being of ordinary people are neglected, causing widespread suffer-ing and in-justice. This imbalance perpetuates a cycle where the rich get richer and the powerful get more control, leaving humanity to suffer endlessly under their rule. To break this cycle, it’s crucial for people to recognize and address this systemic issue. The real face of the deep-state has been revealed to everyone and they're Ziøn-ist$, corr-upting everything so it can be used as they require. #PowerCorrupts #EliteControl #PoliticalInfluence #Corruption #SystemicIssues #HumanityFirst #EndlessSuffering #France #FreePalestine #SaveChildren #StopGenocide #Rafah #PalestinianLivesMatter #Establishment #Politicians #Power #Money #System #Government #LinkedIn

🚨 HYPOCRISY AT ITS BEST. ❝ The president of France's National Assembly expels MP Sebastien Delogu for 15 days (maximum sanction) for waving a Palestinian flag, citing a ban on foreign flags. "There’re 222 of you in parliament. There’re over 30 million outside. I’m not with you, I’m with them." Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor is Malaysia's new king. He has promised that the people will always come first and that he will crack down hard on corruption. With a major shift underway in the strategic architecture of the world there is rising interest in monarchy again. Malaysia offers a window into a unique form of this with important lessons for the rest of the world. The country has an unusual constitutional structure with an elective, rotational monarchy. Every five years a new supreme monarch (Agong) is voted in by the Conference of Rulers, a body composed of the sultans and rajas of the nine monarchical states and the governors of the four non-monarchical states. In this article I discuss what lessons on constitutional monarchy can be learnt from this as well as how elective monarchy might function elsewhere in the world.
