Tiger Safety is currently looking for talented and motivated technicians to join our team!! We are looking to add between four and five safety techs with demonstrated experience working as a safety technician in the Gulf of Mexico. The ideal candidate will have experience working with contractors performing repair and maintenance on offshore platforms, well operations, and or platform decommissioning activities such as pipeline abandonment and/or facility removal. Responsibilities The candidate's primary responsibility will be working on deck observing activities. The candidate will be familiar with the operating procedures and written safe work practices the contractors use to safely perform operations. The safety tech's primary responsibility is to prevent injuries to personnel and damage to equipment by connecting with and building relationships with the crew, continually working to improve the safety culture and the overall (SEMS) Safety Environmental Management System Program. Qualifications 3 years of experience working as a safety technician/consultant/representative in an offshore oil and gas environment, Familiar with industry regulations including SEMS, BSEE PINCS, Coast Guard Regulations and applicable CFRs, Familiar with written operating procedures and safe work practices used to safely perform operations, Familiar with Emergency Response Activities used in the offshore environment, Able to operate a laptop computer, printer, scanner and use the Microsoft Office Suite to report out on activities, High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format with a can do attitude.
