🌟 Six years ago today, I found myself immersed in the pages of Cheryl Strayed's "Wild." Little did I know, my spring break trip to a remote part of Oregon for skiing would intertwine with Cheryl's journey. Reading the book heightened my excitement as I discovered that the end of the Pacific Crest Trail, Cascade Locks, was nearby. I seized the opportunity to visit the trail's end and indulge in treats at the famous ice cream shop. Life works in mysterious ways! "Wild" remains one of my favorite books, a powerful narrative that continues to inspire fearlessness and resilience in me, making me a stronger and better person each time I reread the book. 💫 🌟 Takeaways from Cheryl Strayed's "Wild" that resonate with my Q2 goals as Group Fitness Manager: 🔴 Resilience & Persistence: Encourage my team to stay resilient amid challenges, boosting morale when facing hurdles in implementing a new schedule or tackling attendance. I plan to track how my team handles challenges by observing their response to obstacles during program implementation and attendance fluctuations. Additionally, I will conduct regular check-ins to gauge morale and solicit feedback on strategies to boost resilience. 🔴 Self-Discovery & Growth: Empower my instructors to foster environments conducive to personal growth, whether through novel workout routines or setting empowering fitness goals. I will measure this by encouraging instructors to set personal development goals and track their progress throughout Q2. Additionally, I will collect member feedback on class experiences and perceptions of personal growth within our group fitness programs. 🔴 Preparation & Planning: Emphasize the importance of thorough preparation for our Q2 initiatives, ensuring our instructors are equipped with the resources needed for successful classes. To track progress, I will monitor the completion of pre-event checklists and assess the quality of class materials provided to instructors. I will track the success of Q2 initiatives through attendance numbers and member feedback. 🔴 Community & Support: Cultivate a sense of community among my team and members, fostering collaboration and support for Q2 events. In order to do this I will be assessing team cohesion through surveys and observation of team dynamics during Q2 events. Additionally, I will track member engagement and participation in community-building activities to gauge the sense of support within our fitness community.
