The top co-parenting concerns for 2024 have been revealed. Out of 1000 surveyed, 29% of parents were most concerned about different parenting styles after a divorce. Introducing kids to a new partner, communication, discipline and financial issues were also among the top complaints identified. Just 17% of respondents said they had no concerns with co-parenting. Co-parenting is undoubtedly challenging, but with patience, understanding, and a commitment to putting the children’s needs first, it is possible to create a positive and supportive environment for everyone involved. Equality, diversity and inclusion has been a boardroom discussion for years. Many companies have invested heavily in staff training and policies to try and make their workplace more equitable. But are businesses truly focused on tackling their unique barriers and prejudices? Or are they more concerned about following social trends? Using elite sport as a lens for discussion, Elise Sherwell OLY, Elaine Huttley and Delroy Corinaldi consider the current EDI landscape, and why it’s so important for organisations to get it right: bit.ly/4f3WAWT #BlackHistoryMonth #EqualityInSport #FootballForAll

Our client, Willow, needed intervention when she got stuck during her delivery and medics had to pull her out using a suction cup. As a result, she can’t move her right arm, and was later diagnosed with Erb’s Palsy. Erb’s Palsy is a type of paralysis caused by nerve damage in the arm, and means Willow has poor balance and co-ordination, a stiff posture, and a tight right arm. Despite this, Willow refuses to let her condition define her, and has gone on to win several horse-riding championships. Find out more about her inspirational story in our Imagine magazine: bit.ly/4f4RGsU #ErbsPalsyAwareness #ErbsPalsy #Imagine

We all need to be comfortable having uncomfortable conversations.” As part of our Life at Irwin Mitchell campaign, we had an honest chat with our colleagues Rhuma Russell-Longden, Cheryl Cummings, Angela Jackman KC (Hon), Aaron Ford and Jerome Nwaodor, on the commitment to positive change required by all organisations to combat racism and remove barriers for people underrepresented in the legal sector.
