Rice University is one of 25 U.S. colleges and universities to receive the first Carnegie Leadership for Public Purpose Classification. This elective designation is awarded by the American Council on Education, the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. SEA research leads can help make evidence work for students when they are empowered by: ✳️ Cross-state peer networks; ✳️ A culture of learning within their agency; ✳️ Proximity to students, teachers and families; and ✳️ A robust data infrastructure that includes both cross-sector, longitudinal data AND the human capacity to make sense of it all.
