Congratulations to our Scribe of the Month - Allyson Sabbadini 🥳 When asked: "What has been one of the most surprising aspects of scribing with iScribeMD that you enjoy?" Allyson responded: "One thing I find surprising about being a scribe is the different cases doctors see and how everyone has an individualized treatment plan. I love how each doctor cares for their patients differently. I learn more about medicine everyday that will one day help me with my career in nursing!"

Legal Nurse Consultant | Medical-Surgical Nurse | Collaborating with Attorneys Behind the Scenes on Medical-Legal Cases | Medical Malpractice | Personal Injury | Experienced in Plaintiff and Defense
Producing high-quality work that follows your client's wants and needs will get you repeat business. Last month, a new client contacted me via LI requesting a merit review of ~ 4,500 pages. I completed the review within two weeks (including his request for a condensed chronology). This client did not want a formal written report but a phone call to discuss my findings paired with the chronology. My condensed chronology included an analysis section outlining: ☑ Where the deviation likely occurred. ☑ Key players. ☑ Red flags and/or inconsistencies. ☑ Nursing insights. ☑ Definitions/explanations of key medical aspects. ☑ The recommended expert to obtain. Just a 30-minute phone call with this client, and he had all the information he needed to move forward with the case. Fast forward to this week, and he has sent me another case for a chronology and phone discussion. Listen to your client. Believe in yourself, your work product, and your many years of nursing experience. Happy Nurses Week to all of my fellow nurses! #trialattorney #medicalmalpracticeattorney #personalinjuryattorney

Lead Nurse Educator, Christine Vogel, MSN, RN, CHSE, CHSOS, shared her favorite UbiSim Scenario! It's Earl Jenkins. Here's why: "Heart failure exacerbation was one of my favorite simulations to author. This scenario includes a complex medical history, many abnormal and dynamic assessment signs that look incredibly realistic, the chance for learners to practice SBAR communication with the provider and carry out multiple provider orders, and independent nursing interventions that help the patient. Heart failure is a chronic illness and is associated with conditions such as depression. It is important for nurse learners to care for patients and families experiencing chronic illnesses such as heart failure, to provide therapeutic communication, education, and empathy, as well as recognize and treat exacerbations skillfully." Is your local health system spending thousands, if not millions of dollars a year on unreliable interpreter services? Is the staff properly trained in handling LEP patients and the nuances that come with section 1557 of the ACA? Canopy isn't just for medical institutions. Large HCO's would greatly benefit from a product that educates clinical staff on medical spanish/mandarin/etc. to increase patient safety and reduce readmission rates, among other things.
Is your medical, nursing, or DO program helping students develop the skills necessary to treat the nearly 30 million patients with limited English proficiency? Several administrators share their thoughts on how Canopy has given them the tools to provide a cutting-edge education that sets their students up to deliver more compassionate and effective patient care.
