The #UK #criminaljustice system is what we choose it to be. It’s our responsibility as #citizens to get it right. #Judges may be biased - that’s always possible - but #laws can also be wrong and sentencing policy can be unjust. These things can be changed. #Politicians can act in the public interest, as they have with whistle-blowers, with discrimination, and with other outdated attitudes or inappropriate laws. We need to decide how important #peacefulprotest is, how much it should be protected, and whether all protests are equal - #BLM, #juststopoil, #Palestine and others.

The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) issued a high alert to officials, law enforcement, and protestors after social media posts claimed election fraud led to President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, with accusations that election officials ignored 17 million Democratic ballots and that Trump colluded with Elon Musk and Russia. The Aryan Freedom Network (AFN) also issued threats on Telegram, warning anti-Trump protestors.
