Detail-oriented Editor and Proofreader| English Language Teacher |God’s Scribe| I help you communicate effectively and increase your credibility
Did I read well? I thought I was not reading well so I went for my glasses. Well, I did read well. I read, "Their a very wonderful people." Teach mode was activated in a second. There is a big difference between "Their" and "They're". Let us find out. "Their" is a possessive pronoun. Here are some sentences where "Their" is used. 1. Their new place is very comfortable. 2. Their posts on LinkedIn are educative. On the other hand, "They're" is the contracted form of 'they' and 'are'. They + are = They're That means we have a subject pronoun (they) and a verb (are). For instance; 1. They're learning the English language from Angela. 2. They're the wisest people I have read about. Have you understood the two words and when they are used? You need just two strokes when you write: "Their intelligent". ❌ My good people, kindly correct your friend. 📸 I am your favourite English Language Teacher and detail-oriented proofreader on this blue app and beyond.❤️

Something you might not know about me is that I taught British English for four years! In Europe, British English is used for English curriculums, so I had to teach my students in Prague the British spellings, grammar rules, and vocabulary. (Funny story—I opened the student textbook to the first page and I immediately questioned every decision in my life that had led me to that point! What in the world is a "lorry"? Turns out, a lorry is just a truck.) But here's the cool thing...having that experience of teaching British English now means I can work with writers from other countries! It doesn't matter if you are American or British (or Canadian or Australian thanks to a course I took), I have learned the differences and can help edit your writing to your chosen dialect! Now that you know a little about me, tell me something most people don't know about you in the comments! #blogwriter #bloggingtips #bloggingtools #proofreadingservices #proofreadingtipsandtricks #contentedit #contenteditors #businesseditor #businessediting #magnifyyourcontent #smallbusinesssupplies #businessmaterials #businesshelper #contentdesigners #contenthelp #bookproofreading #upandcomingauthor #authorhelp #authorservices #buyindiebooks #indiebookeditor #selfpublishingtips #editingservices #copyeditors #lineeditor #lineediting #freelanceproofreader #freelanceeditors #nonfictionwriter

In our Spanish classes, we do a lot of activities to practise your writing. Especially when we finish a unit, which is when you have to write a text of between 130 - 150 words using what you have learned in that unit. Sounds familiar, right? 😉 Afterwards, there are two options: ✔️ I record my feedback and send you a video where you see the entire correction process. ✔️ I mark the mistakes in class and you correct them. Do you know what is the most important and the best thing about your texts in Spanish? YOUR MISTAKES When you write you can see visually how you are speaking in Spanish. When practising conversational activities, everything goes a little fast and your teacher corrects the most relevant errors and we work on them in class. But there are other tiny errors that we don't examine in our conversation activities. However, when you write... It's all there! We can go slowly, looking at the order of the words, the gender, the number, the prepositions... That is why written expression activities are so important and this is my tip today: pay attention to how you write because it is a reflection of how you speak in Spanish. Have a great day! Why is the plural of sky "skies" and not "skys"? Plural formation has to be one of the most frustrating aspects of English language. 🟣 Sometimes, you add an 's'; bags. 🟣 Other times, you add an 'es'; buses. 🟣 So why do some "Y" ending words take "ies" and not "s"? It's simple. 🟣 If the letter BEFORE "Y" is a CONSONANT, "Y" becomes "ies". 🔹Sky - "k" is a consonant ➡️ SKIES 🔹Lady - Ladies 🔹City - Cities 🟣 If the letter BEFORE "Y" is a VOWEL, you add an "S". 🔹Boy - Boys 🔹Key - Keys 🔹Day - Days 🟣 Take note. 🟣 Follow me to improve your English grammar one simple lesson at a time.😉 P.S. What is the plural of money? P.P.S. Remember that the rules don't always apply in English language.🤦 🔍I remain Ikeoluwa; Nitpicky Grammarian and Dedicated Proofreader.
