ISG’s pioneering £110m Fairwater Community Campus project in Cardiff celebrates a significant milestone, as construction reaches its highest point. 🏗️ To commemorate the significant milestone, a ceremony was held with Cardiff Council's Leader, Cllr Huw Thomas and Cardiff's Cabinet Member for Education Cllr Sarah Merry amongst those attending. Fairwater Campus is the latest development by Cardiff Council and the Welsh Government under the Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, involving the construction of three new build schools all situated on the Fairwater site. The Net Zero Carbon development, procured through the SEWSCAP framework, will set a precedent for future Cardiff School projects, with state of the art, highly energy efficient buildings powered from renewable energy sources. 🎉 Orchard House, a brand-new £16m special high school in Manchester, has marked a significant milestone! A beam-signing ceremony was held at the school to celebrate the completion of the building's steel frame, with ISG and the North West Construction Hub joining members of Manchester City Council and Prospere Learning Trust to mark the event. Best of luck to the teams up for a National Project Excellence Award at Procure Partnerships Framework's celebration this week. Louise Daville, our director of public sector strategy, says: “Sessions during the day covered the role of government property and how as industry professionals we can reframe what value means to people, place, and productivity across our public services. How small incremental percentage improvements deliver better productivity across the wider public estate.” Our Space to innovate research suggests that investing in spaces designed to foster innovation could lead to 726,000 new jobs and a £44 billion boost to UK GDP.
