While #realestate prices in #Amaravati are in a frenzy with the return of Nara Chandrababu Naidu , here's a first hand, ground report that I recorded in January 2019 - "Making Of Amaravati" . This is undoubtedly Mr. Naidu's most ambitious & dream project. At ~9:00 minutes into the show (after a very well put together top story by Ashwini Priolker) when I start speaking to the 'then and now' Chief Minister, one realises the amount of work his team and he have put in to make Amaravati a reality. After much ground work was done, including the herculean task of land pooling, and an excellent blue print was laid out, his successor shelved the plans. An unfortunate political fallout. This time around though, the Chief Minister of #AndhraPradesh has what he did not in his last term :) Hear Mr. Naidu's interview till the end, when he expresses unhappiness over the union government/centre not releasing the required funds for a brand new capital for Andhra Pradesh, to make up for the loss of #Hyderabad. That equation is now dramatically different. Interesting times! Keeping a close eye on how this #greenfield #urbanisation story unfolds, and whether the earlier cohort - #government of #singapore, World Bank & CapitaLand will be back as partners.
