We are all striving for sainthood, but sometimes it can be difficult to think of practical things we can do to live out holiness in our daily lives. First Witnesses, an Institute for Catholic Formation initiative, wants to help you do just that. Here are 7 ways to become a saint from First Witnesses: - Create a list of reasons you are grateful - Write a kind note to someone in your family. - Donate books and toys to charity - Go all day without electronics and offer the sacrifice for those who are ill. - Reuse paper to write and draw on - Pray for someone in need As Bishop Caggiano says, “Becoming a saint is made one choice at a time." Let's make those choices and strive for sainthood each and every day! There are A LOT of videos of people working out on the internet. Some of them are funny, some of them are educational, some of them are selling you something and some are inspiring. But not all of them can do pretty much all of that (minus the selling) - which is what this one did. She's got your attention immediately because what she is doing physically is nothing short of remarkable (the height and weight of the guy she's carrying is also easy to read), then it reminds us of the work and dedication it takes to be an emergency responder, and then it sparks a feeling gratitude that there are people on this earth that dedicate their lives to serve others. You also may be feeling like you need to work out a little more ;) Video content should do at least one of the following and when you can layer multiple elements, you are doing it right! 1. Entertain - Your audience wants to be entertained by ads, shows, memes, articles. All of it. And entertainment isn't limited to comedy. People also like to be scared, sad, romantic, etc. 2. Education - We all know that the best leaders want to learn. If you have valuable information to share, share it! Include a call to action for your audience to get in touch, learn more, etc. 3. Sales - "I don't want to be salesy." No one wants to be salesy. That's why entertaining and education come first. Establish a relationship with your audience that is founded in trust. If you are selling something (which most of us are), your buyer will trust you before giving you their money. A MNTN Research peeks poll revealed that the #1 turn off when it cames to ads (among advertisers!) was excessive repetition followed closely by inauthenticity. If you commit to being yourself and you love what you do, just show up that way and the trust will follow. She's not selling a product in this video but she is keeping you engaged by being authentic. 4. Inspire - The world loves to be inspired. To work harder, be better, live smarter. Life is hard. Business is hard. Inspiration is an emotion that resonates differently with each person but it's still desired by most. If you create your content plan using the above pillars and show up as your true self, content becomes really EESI (Entertain. Educate. Sell. Inspire). (See what I did there?!)
