BECOME A CERTIFIED DEI&A AMBASSADOR 🌈 It brings us great pleasure to inform you that the upcoming DEI&A Certificate Program Cohort is set to begin on November 20, 2023, with an end date in mid-May 2024. This program is poised to be an engaging and enlightening journey, providing you with a profound comprehension of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility experiences from both scholarly and practical perspectives. To offer you deeper insights into the program, we can arrange an information session facilitated by one of our esteemed scholars who will be part of the upcoming cohort. The program spans six months and includes weekly synchronous video sessions via Moodle. Participants are expected to engage in weekly reflective analysis responses to posted questions on diversity in action. Some courses will require a scholarly paper, while three others necessitate the development of a diversity specific PowerPoint presentation. Additionally, you will participate in team activities in two of the courses, further enriching your collaborative and leadership skills. The common thread across all courses is the application of theory into practice. At the conclusion of the coursework, a comprehensive examination awaits, which must be successfully completed. Upon successful graduation, you will be awarded a certificate from our esteemed partner, Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. 🌟 What a Week! 🌟 From meetings to strategic planning, our week was a whirlwind of excitement and growth! 🚀 🤝 Beginning strong with strategic meetings: Colin delved into discussions with Jeanette Martin, while Lucy had a productive conversation with Andrea Cloughley. But that wasn't all! Together, Colin and Lucy had a long overdue catch-up with the incredible Douglas Marshall. 💼 Colin's midweek highlight? Delivering training to a dynamic Tech Company, empowering them with crucial skills and delivering on their Employee Wellbeing Strategy. Meanwhile, Lucy lent her expertise to Rob Griffiths, assisting in a critical recruitment seminar at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce. 📚 Then came our cherished Book Club, where minds met and ideas flowed. Engaging discussions and shared passions made for a memorable evening! 👩💼 As the week drew to a close, Lucy was on-site with a valued customer, offering invaluable support for their people strategy and commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Meanwhile, Colin immersed himself in networking with SVBG, forging connections and exploring opportunities. ✨ Wrapping up with a flourish, Lucy delved into BNI Achievers Black Country. Today, we at Arbor join the nation in commemorating Juneteenth, a day that marks a crucial turning point in American history. As we reflect on the work that still needs to be done to achieve true racial equity, we remain committed to being part of the solution by using data to help companies make more equitable workplaces.
