ISPO Munich 2023: A Triumph of Innovation and Global Collaboration? 🌍 Last week, Munich hosted one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the outdoor and sports industry – the ISPO. This year's showcase was undoubtedly successful, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and brands worldwide to celebrate the latest sports and outdoor gear advancements. And Chainbalance was in the middle. 🙆🏻♀️ Our highlights included engaging talks with brands such as PLEIN SPORT, Bergans of Norway, JACK WOLFSKIN, Helly Hansen, and VAUDE. These interactions emphasized the industry's commitment to pushing boundaries and showcased impressive strides in design, technology, and sustainability. The lively conversations and exchange of ideas between these influential brands undoubtedly contributed to the overall success of ISPO Munich. From cutting-edge materials to revolutionary designs, the exhibition floor was abuzz with the excitement of the future for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes alike. 🏃🏻♂️ However, amidst the celebration of global achievements, some participants expressed a tinge of disappointment at the absence of many small and regional retailers. For them, the absence of these local players meant missed opportunities for engagement and a chance to highlight unique, region-specific products. It was a sentiment echoed by several brands, who felt that the diverse array of offerings from smaller retailers could have added a valuable layer to the exhibition. Nonetheless, the international scope of the event brought immense benefits for prominent brands and those focused on global marketing strategies. The exposure and networking opportunities offered at ISPO provided a platform for forging collaborations, expanding market reach, and staying abreast of industry trends on a global scale. ✨ As the curtains close on the ISPO, the echoes of exciting discussions, groundbreaking innovations, and global collaborations will undoubtedly resonate throughout the industry. While there's room for improvement in ensuring the inclusion of smaller retailers in future editions, the overall sentiment remains one of optimism and enthusiasm for the future of sports and outdoor gear. 📣 Here it is: the third edition of the Nordic Sports Innovation Summit !!! 🗓️ It's an absolute pleasure to announce the new dates and venue of the next summit: Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴 24-25 January 2024, organised by our friends and partners Norwegian Sport Tech. (yes, we've moved it from late 2023 to early 2024 for logistical reasons) We are particularly pleased that the summit, which was launched in 2021 in Odense, Denmark 🇩🇰 as a collaboration between Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark and Sports Lab Copenhagen, with a repeat in 2022, is now writing a new chapter in its existence by rotating between the Nordic countries, providing an opportunity for each country to host and showcase its sports innovation ecosystem and highlight its strengths. This represents one of the concrete Nordic collaboration initiatives that we've been working on within our Nordic Made Sports Innovation working group, with more to come 😉 🤝 🚀 This edition addresses the challenges of maintaining an active lifestyle 🤸♀️during the winter months 🥶❄️, envisioning the future of winter sports ⛷️⛷, and examining the environmental impact of these activities 🌍. 𝗕𝟮𝗥𝗨𝗡-𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲: 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝗻! On July 4th, we participated in the #B2Run business run in Freiburg for the first time. Well, what can we say? 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆! 11,500 runners from 533 companies sent out a strong signal together. 💙 Following the slogan #GemeinsamAktiv (»active together«), we started at the »Europa-Park Stadium« and completed the 5.2-kilometer track with perfect weather conditions. It was clear to us from the very beginning: 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. Some of our first-time participants were a little nervous and unsure before the start whether they could manage the distance, but as a team we all successfully completed it. 💪 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. Whereas normally you are seated up in the stands at SC Freiburg matches, this time our team was allowed to run through the stadium itself - a very special experience. We have no idea why the stadium wasn't filled to the last seat like at a soccer match 😉, but the cheers were still amazing. Our team member Nadine sums it up perfectly: »The atmosphere was great, the course was ideal for running and the activities before and after were simply fantastic.« Big compliments to Infront B2Run GmbH and DAK-Gesundheit for this unique event and the great organization. We even managed to get into the very popular after-run party with limited access.😎     And as if that wasn't enough - one tree was planted for each registered team, making a valuable contribution to climate protection. 🌳🌍 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝟮𝗥𝗨𝗡, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁. #Hellma #B2Run2024 #BusinessRun #TeamEvent #EuropaParkStadion #Freiburg
