Dear MEPs, I am surprised by your inertia concerning a request for von der Leyen's destitution/resignation and have expressed my concern regarding this absence of feedback on my professional, social, academic, political and civil society networks. It is still possible to vote a motion for von der Leyen's destitution/resignation. One MEP told me that there was no more time. But time is in the mind. I was told that everybody is busy trying to get reelected, but this is just an excuse to procrastinate. If vdL is reinstated, the EU Social System shall be completely locked in. Why do you hide in your comfort bubble? Are you scared of being help to account to the citizens? ------- There is still a possibility to get rid of von der Leyen before the EU Elections in June 2024. Von der Leyen's authority and eligibility are being increasingly questioned everywhere. MEPs have to send in a motion to vote for her destitution/resignation. Reply from one MEP: " No time. Too late. Everybody is busy trying to run for re-election." I say that time is in the mind - again, mindset issue. The EPP and EP are assuming that Von der Leyen shall automatically obtain her second mandate. I say no. There are alternatives based not on power, profit and control but on the well-being and quality of life of 500 million Europeans. 🔥 How long can Canada's luck hold? 🔥 On Friday, I had the opportunity to discuss critical national security issues on CBC's Canada Tonight with Sarah Galashan. 🇨🇦 We delved into the recent arrest of Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani national living in Canada, charged with planning an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack on a Jewish centre in Brooklyn, New York. As I highlighted in the interview, this is the second ISIS-related plot disrupted in Canada within just a few months, following the arrest of Eldidi and his son in Toronto. https://lnkd.in/e3RPCtSS During the interview, which begins at 4 minute and 30 second mark, I discussed the following key concerns: 🔍 Why are we seeing an increase in these types of events in Canada? 💻 How are terrorist suspects being identified online, and what methods are being used to stop them? 🛡️ Is Canada doing enough to prevent these terror plots from succeeding? 🌍 Do our international partners still have confidence in Canada's intelligence and policing systems? ICJ is a hope, not the solution in actual fact! Till now global community is only destroying the embody of terrorism ignoring its brutal ideology that is invincible before the entire world. In fact, terrorism is the worse aspect of the intentions of those who are using religious teachings for worldly advantage and private interest. Instead of following religious teachings, they are internationally hiding their crimes against humanity in general, and trying to alter the definitions of faith, ethics and conscience. We know that “Religion is for man and not man for religion.” Humanity must be saved from both the horror of “terrorism” and the panic of so called “counter terrorism warfare.” Though the words expressing our religious beliefs may be different the meaning is the same for everyone. In these circumstances, power of wealth and military power are not great enough for any country, organization or group engaged in the mission to uproot the basis of terrorism. Here the entire world needs an intellectual power to counter the thoughts and ideology that create the basis of terrorism and religious conflicts worldwide To overcome the brutal ideology that leading the entire world to an unnatural end, please join us to uproot the basis of terrorism without disgracing the faith of any human being Thank you

The Counterterrorism Group (CTG)'s CENTCOM Team writes a Security Brief covering the risks posed by a temporary garbage dump where thousands of Palestinians live in Palestine and shootouts between the Pakistan Armed Forces and militants in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. CTG predicts the contamination from the garbage dump will almost certainly negatively impact the area’s ecological balance and environment, likely leading to serious health concerns. Fighting along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has led to diplomatic tensions between the two countries. For South Africa: “South #Africa, as a State party to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, respectfully requests the #Court, as a matter of extreme urgency, pending the Court’s determination of this case on the merits, to indicate the following provisional measures in relation to the #Palestinian people as a group protected by the #Genocide Convention. These measures are directly linked to the rights that form the subject matter of South Africa’s dispute with Israel: The State of Israel shall immediately suspend its #military operations in and against #Gaza; The Republic of South Africa and the State of #Israel shall each, in accordance with their obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in relation to the Palestinian people, take all reasonable measures within their power to prevent genocide;
