ISSTA is an NGO for train-the-trainer in soft skills. The prerequisite is to be certified by AICI Global or equivalent. Think of ISSTA as a professional designation (similar to MD, CPA, PEng, without which one is not allowed to do certain things) while AICI is your university degree. There are two paths for students to earn IITTI World Civility Index: Path#1 Reading Program & Activities, Path#2 Written Exams. All trainers are invited to use Path#1. But only licensed IITTI Trainers are permitted to deliver Path#2, the formal written exams. *** What is the World Civility Index? This Index is somewhat similar to a person's credit rating, but instead of measuring how well a person can pay his bills, it measures a person's soft skills such as business etiquette, empathy, intercultural awareness. The concept is that job-seekers can get the credential based on the World Civility Index, as proof, to show to employers everywhere. From an employer's point of view, they get to raise company culture simply by requesting job-applicants to have this credential, before coming on board. In addition, having a neutral, third-party measurement for a company's civility level will eliminate all "greenwashing" and can positively affect their ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) ratings. （ESG ratings are important to financial analysts and investors in deciding which company to invest in.） In other words, the "Index" can do good for the company culture, raise their ESG rating, and good for society at the same time. Feeding three birds with one seed! The World Civility Index is now a part of UN Sustainable Development. *** What are the uses of World Civility Index? Overall, the World Civility Index credential can be used by employers for hiring purposes, schools for admission, restaurants for giving the best seats, landlords for giving preferential rental priorities, and anecdotally, dating websites for matching partners. A new kind of currency for the 21st-century. *** How does it change the world? It not only allows companies to raise corporate culture, but also sends a strong signal to society that now there is a way to identify job candidates that are more empathetic, more self-aware, more socially competent. What employers want, the general population will also pay attention. It changes societies to become more civil.
