Often easier said than done 😁 However….here is some great advice to get you started from Mary Robins, a wonderful professor in the Bryant University Department of Communication and Language Studies at Bryant University! Wonderful and insightful points Mary, and thanks for the thoughtful piece Emma Bartlett 🤔 #socialmedia #audienceanalysis #messagedesign #communication #digitalcommunication

The purpose of social media is to build relationships and foster two-way communication. It starts with actively engaging with your audience and responding promptly to comments, messages, and mentions. In addition to allowing you to solicit user-generated content, it also opens up a communication channel. It’s impossible to build a high-performing social media presence in one day. Instead, here’s what’s achievable today: 💪 You can brainstorm 3 content ideas that align with your brand. 💪 You can engage with 10 posts from your target audience or niche. 💪 You can repurpose an old post into a fresh, new format. 💪 You can schedule tomorrow’s content to stay ahead. It’ll only take you an hour of focused effort. However, in just 30 days, you’ll have: 🤭 A more engaged audience. 🤭 A consistent posting schedule. 🤭 A content strategy that actually works. Don’t say: “I want to grow by 1,000 followers today.” Instead, say: “I want to create meaningful connections and deliver value today.” Pick small, consistent actions over overwhelming big goals. P.S. I’m here waiting for your comments to know your thoughts.

Please STOP writing long, generic social media ad copy! We see too many people overloading their ads and losing their audience. Do this instead: - Keep it short: Less is more in the fast-scrolling world of social media. - Know your audience: Speak directly to their needs and desires. - Write with emotion: Connect with your audience on a personal level. - Use concrete language: Be clear and specific, and avoid fluff. - Create urgency: Push your audience to take immediate action with a sense of urgency. Why does failure happen? Overcomplicating the message and not understanding the audience. Save your money—follow these steps and solve the problem of ineffective ads! P.S. Ready to try it? We've all heard it before... Consistent posting is crucial for growing your presence on social media. But here's the thing—consistency isn't just about how often you post; it's also about the consistency within your content itself. Sure, you should maintain a regular posting schedule, but equally important is maintaining consistency in elements like editing, formatting, captions, video length, and more. Why? Because these elements create a cohesive thread that ties all your posts together. While it's great to experiment with different variables in your content, keeping certain elements consistent helps your audience know what to expect from you. So, next time you're crafting your social media strategy, remember: consistency isn't just about showing up regularly; it's about delivering a consistent experience that keeps your audience engaged and coming back for more. What are some key elements of consistency you focus on in your social media strategy? Let's discuss in the comments below! 👇

How to annoy a social media manager 101: ""Who needs a content calendar when you can just post whatever pops into your head?" "Who needs branding consistency when you can keep your audience guessing?" "Why waste time on strategy when you can just copy whatever our competitors are doing?"
