Can AI Help Teachers Generate Discussion Prompts? Yes, and, in the process, save educators time in coming up with more cognitively complex discussion prompts says author Matthew R. Kay in his recent ASCD blog post - Can AI Lead a Classroom Discussion. However, in my opinion, teachers won't lose their jobs anytime soon (at least, for the time being). As Kay discovered when generating discussion prompts for discussions about books such as "Born a Crime" or "Lord of the Flies", not all prompts were accurate and still require teachers to review what AI is producing/know their respective subject areas.
